Building Information Modelling utilises the single shared platform of virtual information model allowing the process of designing, building and operating to work collaboratively.
3Detailing align the benefit of using BIM with project requirements. It enhances communication between project partners and allows the identification of design clashes to be eradicated proactively.
The design drawings will be reviewed upon receiving to identify any unforeseen issues or inconsistencies between Architectural and Structural disciplines. An ongoing document management system will be used by 3Detailing for all drawings files, revisions, variations and RFIs. Reports generated (material, bolts list etc.) are also provided and registered.
We’ve established the modeler responsibility system at 3Detailing, meaning all members of the teams, whether it’s the builder or architect or engineer, can view the modelling progress and extract information they need 24/7. This allows any potential issues or design changes to be spotted early in the process, thus reducing the number of RFI’s, rework, and delays on site.
The model is constructed in exact scale to real-life, thus any clash in the model can result in problems later on-site. The software we use allow us to detect any clashes between members including civil, structural and MEP. These clashes will be highlighted and resolved in the model, thus eliminating costly site rectification.
